She received her degree in only two years – a year faster than the three-year span most law students require to complete their studies. After receiving her law degree and graduating cum laude in 2012, she moved into private practice in 2013. Today, she is admitted to practice law in Florida, West Virginia, and Minnesota.
Attorney Wheeler has received numerous honors recognizing her excellence in the legal profession. In 2019, the National Alliance of Women in Law named her one of its Top 40 Young Lawyers in the country. She was also the recipient of the American Institute of Legal Advocates’ Elite Advocate Award in both 2018 and 2019.

She previously appeared as a regular guest on Ask a Lawyer on Fox 13, participating on the first Thursday of each month prior to the program’s suspension following the COVID-19 pandemic.
