Abby Sonin is the Senior Attorney at Sonin & Genis, ESQ. Abby is esteemed for her vast legal knowledge and acumen. A multi-faceted and extremely accomplished trial attorney, she has brought to the firm years of invaluable trial skill and training with the nation’s largest municipal law office – The Corporation Counsel of the City of New York. Her experience as a Legal Aid Attorney, Prosecutor, and Senior Counsel for both the New York City Law Department and the Nassau County Attorney’s office made her widely recognized for her talents. She has also successfully prosecuted numerous arson cases involving houses of worship, businesses, schools and dwellings. Abby has handled countless police cases and has lectured to and trained the New York City Police Department, New York City Fire Department, New York City Office of School Safety, and New York City Fire Marshalls. Abby has worked closely with the FBI and ATF.
Abby has successfully handled complex negligence and no-fault cases at trial, and has skillfully resolved cases through negotiations.
