A Colorado native, Tara began working as a legal assistant in 2002. She earned her law degree at the University of San Diego School of Law before returning to Colorado to practice.
Volunteering and working with the community has always been close to Tara’s heart. An avid reader, Tara is passionate about the importance of reading and education. She is currently working to build and establish several Little Free Libraries in Denver, Loveland and Fort Collins

Tara previously worked with Metro Volunteer Lawyers and the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center, advocating for children as a Guardian Ad-Litem through the center’s domestic violence program. As a former member of the Junior League of Denver, Tara was part of the Read-to-Kids program, providing free books and learning opportunities to thousands of families in the Denver Metro Area. During her studies at the University of Denver, Tara was the president of GIVE (Graduates Involved in Volunteer Efforts). She traveled to Tanzania, where she worked with a nonprofit called Peace House, a school for orphaned and underprivileged children.
