Lawyer Profile

Rosendo Almaraz, Jr. is a Rio Grande Valley native, hailing from Weslaco, Texas. Rosendo was raised by his parents, Rosendo Almaraz, Sr., and Herminia “Minie” Almaraz, a GTE cable splicer and a licensed vocational nurse. Although his parents worked long, hard hours, they always made time for their family. Along with his two brothers and sister, they led a healthy Christian life and never needed anything, always having their parents’ love and support. After graduating from Weslaco High School in the top 5% of his class with honors, Rosendo attended St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, where he received both his Bachelor of Arts degree and Doctor of Jurisprudence.

After graduating and passing the Texas Bar exam in 2000, Rosendo began his legal career with the Hidalgo County District Attorney’s office as an Assistant DA. Throughout the first six years of his legal career, Rosendo worked for a few firms throughout South Texas, gaining the valuable experience and knowledge needed to open his own practice in 2006.

Over the last 16 years, Rosendo has always represented victims and their families who have unfortunately dealt with a personal injury issue. His concentration has always been and continues to be helping those wrongly affected and injured due to the negligence of others. Rosendo has waged battles with companies of all sizes and obtained settlements and verdicts into the millions of dollars for his clients.

Rosendo has always said and felt that although a relationship with a client begins as a business one, it often leads to a friendship that continues past the case at hand. He enjoys meeting all of his clients and makes it a point to get to know each and every one of them during his representation. He firmly believes you should know your attorney and not just deal with staff during the process of your representation. We can only be successful as a team!

Rosendo is a member of many legal and social organizations. He is a devoted husband to his wife, Dora Almaraz, and a loving father to his three children, Samantha, Cristian, and Gavin. As a family, they enjoy traveling to new places, hunting and fishing the great outdoors, and spending as much quality time together as possible. He supports many local organizations through membership and sponsorship and looks forward to continuing to be a productive member of his church and society.
