Mr. Wheeler is an insurance & business specialist. Before going to law school, Mr. Wheeler sold workers’ compensation insurance policies to contractors and farms throughout Southern California for a small but distinguishable insurance administrator, Self Insured Solutions. Throughout Mr. Wheeler’s sales career,Self Insured Solutions grew to the largest self-insured group administrator in the state of California with contacts throughout the Northwest.
In 2010, Mr. Wheeler started his law school career at Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles where he received numerous accolades including a CALI Award for Administrative Law. Mr. Wheeler transferred to Seattle University School of Law for his penultimate year and graduated in December 2013, cum laude. While at Seattle U., Mr. Wheeler had a strong academic emphasis in Tribal Law and Corporate Governance.
During law school, Mr. Wheeler was selected to participate in Leadership Los Angeles (L.A.). Throughout 2011, as a part of Leadership L.A., Mr. Wheeler, along with 50 other young leaders met once a month around the Southern California area to discuss social issues facing the community on both a micro and macro level.
In 2014, Mr. Wheeler spent three months abroad in London working with Oxford Insurance Brokers, Ltd. a Lloyd’s reinsurance brokerage firm. While in London, Mr. Wheeler shadowed several brokers, underwriters, attorneys and executives throughout the Lloyd’s of London marketplace. His experience and knowledge gleaned abroad has served his clients invaluably here in the States.
With combined insurance and business knowledge, specialty and skill, Mr. Wheeler hopes to serve the vast business marketplace. Whether a small business owner looking to expand, an entrepreneur opening shop for the first time, or an insurance enterprise looking to expand their portfolio, Mr. Wheeler brings to the table a wealth of knowledge and know how to help serve clients.
While not practicing law, Mr. Wheeler spends time with his wife and newborn daughter, and enjoys volunteering with the Urban Indian Legal Clinic and the Housing Justice Project.
