Holding over 37 years of AV Rated Civil Trial experience, Bernard F. Walsh is a powerhouse in the courtroom. He began his law career investing in protection of the general public as a public defender for the state of Florida. The following three years found Mr. Walsh working in the role of trial attorney for the same state, when he helped resolve a number of high profile cases with serious felony-type crimes.

Bernie has been exclusively devoted to personal injury law since 1982. He has helped many accident victims not only in Sarasota, but in surrounding areas in Manatee County. Mr. Walsh has the distinction of winning the highest playground recovery to the tune of $1,900,000.00 in 2008, motorcycle recoveries up to $6,000,000.00 in 2006, and finally, a daycare recovery at $1,000,000.00 in 2010. He has also enjoyed a number of additional recoveries in the state of Florida, including a bicycle versus truck at $1,000,000.00, a motor vehicle versus a commercial truck at $4,700,000.00 in 2016, a single car MVA at $500,000.00, an auto versus van at $1,000,000.00, an auto versus semi at $475,000.00, an auto versus truck at $950,000.00, and a private property, person fall down at %750,000.00.

Bernard Walsh has joined the Board of Governors for the Florida Justice Association (PAC), among other associations, including the Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America (APITLA), and the National Trial Lawyers. He has the distinction of being named within the Florida Legal Elite, and enjoys a “Superb Rating” awarded by AVVO, and is widely recognized throughout his legal community for superior professional experience and conduct. He has also received an “AV Preeminent Rating” from Martindale-Hubble, who represents the center of excellence in professionalism. He earned this award through a stringent Peer Review Rating test. This is the highest ranking ever held by any attorney within this organization.

While earning prestigious awards, Mr. Walsh remains committed to his community through community service projects. His efforts in volunteering assist all law enforcement levels have been beneficial to officers and private citizens alike. He continues to give, supporting a number of churches, the arts, and organizations around Manatee County and the greater Sarasota area.

Mr. Walsh was educated at Cumberland Law School. He received his Juris Doctorate in Law in 1978. He was selected to be a research clerk and intern for a judge on the federal level and the United States Attorney’s Office. He was the recipient of the National Book Awards for Constitutional Law and Professional Responsibility Bachelor Degree as an undergrad in 1975 at the University of South Florida.
