Anthony was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. While growing up, Anthony played basketball and had the opportunity to travel across the US for AAU Basketball. Since he played since he was eight years old, he credits much of his competitive mindset to the sport. In addition to athletics, Anthony is also an avid chess player. Having grown up in Las Vegas, he thanks Sin City for teaching him many life skills, such as knowing when to walk away during black jack! Anthony attended Chapman University in Orange, California where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Shakti Vadgama was born and raised in Los Angeles County and earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). After graduating from UCLA, Mr. Vadgama attended California Western School of Law in San Diego. In law school, Mr. Vadgama developed a strong passion for advocating on behalf of individuals against entities that are in a position of power. Mr. Vadgama’s first experience with criminal law came when he worked for the Chilean Ministry of Justice while studying and working abroad after his first year of law school in Santiago, Chile. In this position, he researched and briefed his supervising attorney on the United States use of the Combined DNA Index System (CODIS) and whether Chile should implement such system. Furthermore, Mr. Vadgama worked as a judicial extern in the criminal division of the San Diego Superior Court East County Division. As a judicial extern, Mr. Vadgama prepared bench memoranda for multiple judges on cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies, providing his recommendation as to how each case should be determined when applying the facts to the applicable law. This experience provided Mr. Vadgama a unique insight and understanding on how the judiciary and the criminal courts operate. Mr. Vadgama also interned at a criminal defense firm, where he worked on various criminal cases and advocated on behalf of individuals serving life sentences at parole hearings. He helped and witnessed his supervising attorney win a parole hearing for an individual who successfully used the prison system to rehabilitate himself and change his life around after serving twenty-five years for second degree murder. This moment left a profound impact on Mr. Vadgama and made him realize that a career as a criminal defense attorney was his true calling. Mr. Vadgama also worked as an honors instructor in law school, tutoring first year law students in legal research and writing. He earned this position upon receiving the highest score in his first year legal research and writing course. After law school, Mr. Vadgama spent the first year and one-half of his legal career as a plaintiff’s employment law attorney, advocating on behalf of employees in all employment related matters. In his stint as an employment law attorney, Mr. Vadgama successfully negotiated and litigated on behalf of hundreds of clients in both State and Federal court. Mark Larson is a partner at Larson, Larson & Dauer, ALC. Mark’s practice is primarily focused on workers’ compensation and personal injury. Born into a family of attorneys, Mark has grown up watching insurance companies repeatedly deny benefits to those that have been injured by their insured. This is how Mark began to develop a passion for the law and fighting against insurance companies.

Whether it is a workers’ compensation case or a personal injury matter, Mark has made it his goal and business practice to keep his caseload manageable so that he can give each client the individualized attention that they need. He has found that this increases the overall value of each respective case and increasing the success of his firm. Most importantly, it ensures that each client costs the insurance companies as much money as possible, while obtaining the maximum amount of money for his clients.

Prior to coming to work at Larson, Larson & Dauer, ALC., Mark had been working in civil litigation at his older brother’s personal injury law firm Carpenter, Zuckerman & Rowley, LLP. Mark started working for this firm as a law clerk, at the age of 17. Mark continued working at this law firm throughout law school until he eventually became an attorney. After becoming an attorney, Mark continued developing his skills and moved into complex litigation involving traumatic brain injuries, medical malpractice, amputations and other permanently disabling injuries. Mark was eventually approached with a job offer by his Uncle Timothy A, Larson.

Timothy A. Larson immediately began to mentor Mark and assist him in understanding the many complexities of workers’ compensation. Tim taught Mark how to maximize the value of a case, while ensuring each client’s best interests were being considered. Mark has taken the teachings from his uncle and combined it with his prior personal injury experience to become one of the younger recognized workers’ compensation attorneys in Los Angeles.

Like his uncle, Mark prides himself in assisting clients that have sustained very serious injuries while working, including but not limited to amputations, severe burns, head trauma, posttraumatic stress disorder, smoke inhalation, cancer and various orthopedic injuries.

Mark specifically enjoys assisting his: California Highway Patrol; Police; Sheriff; and Firefighter clients. This is due in part to having a long family history of relatives that work in all of these fields.

Mark graduated from Southwestern Law School and attended California Polytechnic University San Luis Obispo for his Undergraduate work.

Over 40 years of experience winning cases in workers’ compensation, employment law and personal injury adjudication. Larson, Larson & Dauer combines experienced representation along with a fresh approach to the law. While focusing specifically upon workers’ compensation, employment and personal injury law, we are adept at helping our injured clients find solutions to their legal issues and compensation to help make them whole.

Adam Hepburn grew up in a hard-working blue-collar family near the foothills in Los Angeles County. His father, an owner of an electrical contracting business, and his mother, a registered nurse, instilled in him early the importance of working hard and helping others in the community. Adam watched his father and mother become pillars in the community by donating their time and resources to local schools, churches, and nonprofit organizations. Inspired by his family and other leaders in his community, Adam pursued a life of public service.

While attending one of the most prestigious colleges in the world, U.C. Berkeley, Adam immediately began helping the community by working with a California State Senator. Adam interfaced directly with local constituents by assisting the Senator’s office at public policy debates and community forums. Adam’s legislative experience peaked his interest in the law and he soon began working at the state courthouse in Oakland, California. After graduating U.C. Berkeley, Adam received a full tuition merit scholarship to law school in San Diego, California, where his legal career took off.

Law school is where Adam first learned how to become a premiere trial attorney. Adam ranked amongst the top of his class and often obtained the highest grade in his challenging law school courses. After becoming part of the school’s selective and highly competitive Law Review, Adam competed in trial competitions and soon gained the recognition of his peers as a talented litigator. After winning a Distinguished Advocate award for his skilled advocacy, Adam earned his place on the school’s highly decorated Trial Advocacy Team and won many awards and trial competitions across the nation. Due to his trial skills and impressive scholastic abilities, Adam was hand-picked to work with the U.S. Navy JAG Corps in San Diego to help defend military members facing serious criminal charges. Adam also worked with the San Diego Public Defender’s Office where he litigated multiple jury trials with immense success even before he was admitted to the State Bar. Equipped with the skills to take on any adversary in court, Adam left law school and continued to pursue his passion of fighting for others by accepting a job with the San Diego Public Defender’s Office.

Early in Adam’s practice, he distinguished himself as a highly skilled and talented trial attorney. He litigated many trials against both the District Attorney’s Office and City Attorney’s Office with amazing results. Adam enjoyed many not guilty verdicts and many case dismissals throughout his career, recognized by his peers and the court as skilled litigator. Wanting to develop his trial skills even further, Adam was hand selected and accepted into one of the most highly regarded trial skills programs in the world, The Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College, located in Dubois, Wyoming. Adam continued to perfect his skills as a trial attorney and met fellow trial attorneys throughout the country who fought against insurance companies that were trying to take advantage of good, vulnerable people. Inspired by his fellow trial attorneys and the justice they were fighting for across the country, Adam decided to dedicate himself to fighting against powerful and rich insurance companies taking advantage of people.

Adam strives to always give back to his community. Adam serves on the Board of Directors for The San Diego Freedom Ranch, a non-profit residential treatment program operating in San Diego for over 40 years. Adam also gives back to his law school by serving as a trial coach at California Western School of Law, where he teaches law students trial skills and trial techniques. Adam also serves as a mentor to underprivileged youth through other non-profit organizations in San Diego. Whether fighting in court on behalf of his clients or out in the community volunteering his time and resources, Adam’s passion is to help others and fight for those who have no voice.

What is Personal Injury? When someone is physically or emotionally injured. The laws covering personal injury allow the injured party to receive compensation for damages caused by someone else’s carelessness, negligence, recklessness, or intentional actions. Personal injury laws place demands on its citizens not to harm others. This means that not only should people be safe from harm, but their possessions should be safe from harm too. If you are injured you may be eligible for compensation for your injuries.

Liability can caused by intentional acts or by negligence.

    • An intentional act is one designed to cause harm or injury. The person committing the act wants to harm you
    • A negligent act occurs when someone fails to take appropriate action and you are harmed as a result of that failure.

Another form of personal injury law covers strict liability (product liability)

    • The product may be defective because of an error in the manufacturing process
    • Consumers are not warned of possible bad effects from the use of the product.
    • The product has design flaw that makes it dangerous.

In most personal injury cases, the victim must have suffered some sort of physical, mental, and/or financial harm to have a claim for damages.

If you believe your personal injury was caused by the carelessness or intentional act of another, and you live in Southern California, you may want to contact Mason Rashtian to discuss your possible case.

You should call as soon as it is convenient to do so and avoid discussing personal injuries with strangers and/or insurance representative who are not from your own insurance company. However, you should be cooperative with the police, your own treating physicians and your own insurance company.
